1960’s Kitchen Renovation
This home in Germantown was in desperate need of an update. Before picture are unfortunately not available. The original kitchen was poorly designed for todays lifestyle. The space was originally seperated into two rooms, a kitchen and small dining room. The support wall between the two rooms was eliminated and a structural beam was concealed in the ceiling to properly carry the load. The result was a modern use of space replicating the “Kitchen/Hearth Room” feel in most new homes. Wolf® and Subzero® cook and cool in this kitchen. The sink is Kohler and faucet is Hans Grohe. A high powered 150watt halogen recessed can over the sink provides high intensity light for cleaning vegetables and prep work. The 200+ year old French farm house table is set off with modern hand made Murano glass hanging fixtures from Italy.
